Chapter 18, “The Miracles of Sabrina Spellman”, tackles the question pursed on each characters’ lips after the events of the previous chapter – who is Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) in Part 2? Who does she represent now? But before Chapter 18 could answer those questions, it deals with a wounded, collapsed Sabrina. She hastily gets up to everyone’s surprise and heals Ambrose, who was dangerously close to death. Her love triangle deepens post the dramatic events; Harvey (Ross Lynch) was somewhat the savior when she fell, giving Nicholas (Gavin Leatherwood) the onus to feel jealous.

Chapter 18 demonstrates many miracles performed by Sabrina; she controls the terrible weather, and with Rosalind’s (Jaz Sinclair) permission, heals her eyes. Bubbling underneath the surface, Mary Wardwell/Madam Satan (Michelle Gomez) is drumming up her revenge plans on the Dark Lord, assembling her beast conjured from one of her ribs. Harvey sulks away after being politely asked to stay away from The Academy, agreeing to go down the mine with his working-class father, but coincidentally discovers The Woman in White in Tunnel 13.

“The Miracles of Sabrina Spellman” was not the strongest chapter in Part 2, but it did progress the story; Father Blackwood (Richard Coyle) and Zelda (Miranda Otto) return, meaning Nicholas and Sabrina are summoned to the Council to hear of their fate. The Council is happy to relieve any punishments on the pair but resume in the sentence of executing Ambrose (Chance Perdomo). Hilda (Lucy Davis) and Sabrina need to figure out a way to prevent that from happening from a power-hungry Blackwood, but first, they had to remove the controlling curse on Zelda placed on her by her husband.

Unfortunately, luck is not on Sabrina’s side, as Zelda kills Ambrose’s familiar that Sabrina resurrected while cursed, meaning they will have to conjure a plan during the execution. Sabrina is hopeful of a new future, telling Nicholas of “Witches 2.0”, her father’s reform and how the union of witches and mortals may be the perfect hybrid she is experiencing. Sabrina does not need spells or potions; she has the natural power to heal and provide energy to any event. Hilda and Sabrina argue over this notion, explaining that Sabrina is dabbling with too many paradoxes.

In routine style, Chapter 18, “The Miracles of Sabrina Spellman”, brings dramatic circumstances at Ambrose’s execution; the executioner’s head ends up sliced off, and before Blackwood can carry out the deed himself, the Dark Lord turns up, freeing Ambrose, and with the Council’s confidence in Blackwood wafer-thin, they strip the Father of the “interim Anti-Pope” title.

With plenty of successes heading Sabrina’s way, she decides to hold a party, unifying witches and mortals and reveal the true Universe she exists within to start her reform. Nicholas is concerned that she will be preaching the gospel without living in it if she continues a romance with him. Before she could make her grand speech and platform her true form to the mortals, Harvey interrupts the reveal, insisting they must go to the mines. In the mines, they discover a prophecy, with the image of Sabrina. She fears that she is the Herald of Hell, meaning she is in fact evil.
