Summary
Abyss Season 1, Episode 3 continues the clown-like narrative, as the two leading characters try to make sense of who was responsible for the murder.

I’m relatively confident that my brain has melted, and any second now gunk will start seeping out of my ears. Abyss Season 1, Episode 3 continues the madness, the absolute insanity of this bizarre story.
Abyss Episode 3 begins with the police trying to track down Oh Yeong-cheol as they suspect that he is part of a more extensive case, and that’s the majority of the premise for this chapter.
Go Se-yeon believes that either Park Gi-man or Yeon-cheol killed her that fatal night, and Cha Min (Hyo-Seop Ahn) is feeling guilty for potentially reviving a serial killer. He wasn’t to know, but you can understand why his reckless use of the Abyss ball may make him feel shacked with blame for the ensuing murders.
Then Abyss Episode 3 takes a weird turn as one of the investigators believes Go Se-yeon is someone called Mi-do and spends the rest of the chapter doting on her, and acutely flirting.
We are also treated to some flashbacks to Yeon-cheol stabbing Park Gi-man and confessing to killing his daughter, but also that he was the ER doctor the night her deep wounds need healing. At this point, I’m pretty sure that they made each scene up on the spot. I’m not joking.
In a strange side plot, Se-yeon and Cha Min decide to test out the Abyss ball and revive bodies in a morgue, but obviously, this doesn’t work as they look sinister and creepy.
As the investigators try and find Park Gi-man who is on the run after stabbing Se-yeon for the murder of his daughter, Se-yeon and Cha Min go to an all-you-can-eat buffet, and the prosecutor realizes her new body can eat more food but gets ridiculously insecure the more alcohol she drinks. Cha Min also starts missing Hee-jin, and I don’t know why, because she left him for being ugly.
Park Gi-man has been on the run for so long while also trying to persevere with stab wounds that he starts coughing up blood while sat at his daughter’s grave claiming he managed to seek vengeance. Cha Min shows up and saves him, but he also asks him in the hospital if he killed Se-yeon.
Another twist in Abyss episode 3; Yeon-cheol has Hee-jin in captivity. The serial killer also turns up at the hospital to try and finish the job and kill Park Gi-man, and wheels him out in his wheelchair. A flashback reveals that Yeon-cheol killed Se-yeon.
As this absurdly mental, convoluted chapter ends, Yeon-cheol and Park Gi-man end up fighting in the street. Yeon-cheol repeatedly stabs him like a crazed man before the police arrive. Cha Min sees Hee-jun and runs after her. And in a very confusing major twist, Se-yeon’s colleague manages to corner Yeon-cheol, and he suggests that they are the same blood.
I guess I’ll see you tomorrow to try to decipher more if I can be bothered.
