Photography – The Blue Mountains – Pond-ering Over the Colden Hour
Ever since I was a child I’ve been a massive lover of snow. Just the sight of it would have my serotonin doing laps around my brain, if that’s how that even works. A snow day is something often held in the highest regard in the center of a child’s mind. The simple utterance of those two words, “School’s closed,” gave way to a feeling akin to that of Christmas coming early. So, of course, when I came across the opportunity to live on a ski resort for the winter period I jumped at the chance, naturally.
The Golden Hour is potentially my favourite part of the day. The myriad of colours present during the briefest of windows is satisfying enough to last the day. This is one of several ponds situated on the Blue Mountain ski resort. Surrounded by deep snow – deep for a Brit, at least – I ventured forth and – you guessed it – fell in the snow. And then a few minutes later I took this photo, amongst several others which I’ll probably be sharing in the near future.
