Fans were understandably upset when Netflix decided to cancel Sense8 and their pain was clearly heard. The streaming giant kindly offered a feature-length episode to end the story of the beloved characters.

Resuming from where we left off, the Sense8 finale takes the cluster on their most trying journey yet. Still attempting to escape the clutches of Whispers, the cluster must learn to protect and defend one another in an attempt to simply stay alive. If you are a Sense8 fan then you will appreciate the sentiment.

The Staircase Documentary Series

The Staircase - Netflix Original Documentary Series - Review

Here come the armchair lawyers. After the Netflix phenomenon of Making a Murderer, along came a flurry of similar content with the likes of Amanda Knox and Evil Genius. The Staircase will make you frustratingly binge despite knowing you have to get up for work the next morning.

One night in December 2001, Michael Peterson called 911 reporting his wife to be dying on the staircase after she had fallen, which immediately turned into a murder case landing Michael himself in court. Netflix Original Documentary Series The Staircase gives a terrifying insight into the criminal justice system.

Alex Strangelove

This senior high school coming-of-age story is nothing special but it is worth watching if not for the charm and light approach.

Netflix Original Movie Alex Strangelove offers a lighthearted story about a senior high school kid going through the motions of discovering his sexual identity. Despite a few odd scenes, the film delivers an important message in an unpretentious way.

A movie that represents the young generation trying to mould themselves in the modern landscape without undermining their family. Sounds fun? Well, it is.

Netflix Original Film Ali’s Wedding is nothing new in terms of story but its comedic approach and a great leading performance brings a stable movie about a man trying to please his family but win the love of his life at the same time.
