Here we are with enough fresh slice of generic writing – Netflix has released The Package Trailer 1. Initial thoughts are that I have no idea what the trailer is telling me. It just feels like a bunch of teenagers running around woodlands, partaking in useless gags that will muster some laughs. It also has that dude from Alex Strangelove.
Premise and Release Date
Five teenagers go to a spring break camp, and whilst there and an unfortunate accident takes place and they must work against time to save their friend’s most prized possession. The Package directed by Jake Szymanski.
The Netflix film will be released on August 10, 2018, globally.

Netflix’s the package trailer 1 reaction
As you can tell by my reaction I am a little bemused by the lack of focus on an actual story. Netflix makes a habit of commisioning movies with the bottom of the barrel scripts. Not all Netflix films are bad, there are some exceptions but this trailer seems to have all the habits of the run-of-the-mill teen drama. Who knows, The Package may not be represented as well in the trailer and the gags may pull off. Time will tell on August 10th.
