New Amsterdam Episode 15, “Croaklahoma”, Promo:

Well, goodness, are we seeing the usually unflappable attitude of Max Goodwin (Ryan Eggold) begin to crack? The promo for New Amsterdam Episode 15, “Croaklahoma”, seems to suggest so, as we briefly see Max not only preparing his wife, Georgia (Lisa O’Hare), for the possibility he might not be around when their baby is born but also snapping at his staff! What is going on?

As well as what also looks like a potentially very moving subplot about an elderly couple, one of whom has cancer, “Croaklahoma” clearly shows some potential division between the core cast of New Amsterdam – something we haven’t really seen before, unless you count all that business with Lauren Bloom (although it was, admittedly, in service of Janet Montgomery being on maternity leave.)

Let’s see what the official blurb has to say:

New Amsterdam Episode 15, “Croaklahoma”, Synopsis:

Max (Ryan Eggold) bonds with the patients undergoing chemo with him, but a conversation leads him to struggle with his reality. Meanwhile, Reynolds (Jocko Sims) has difficulty handling a personal matter regarding a patient’s family and Iggy (Tyler Labine) struggles with a realization regarding his daughter.

New Amsterdam Episode 15, “Croaklahoma”, will air Tuesday, February 26, at 10pm on NBC. This looks like one the show’s ardent fanbase won’t want to miss, especially with the much-loved Georgia on deck for more of the show’s usual devastating emotional trauma. We can’t really be expected to believe that they’re going to kill off the show’s protagonist, but I suppose you never know.
