International Coventry Film Festival 2019 For film-lovers in the UK... not long to go!

International Coventry Film Festival to shine in its fifth year running on 12 and 13 April 2019 at Backhaus&Co, Fargo Village at 7 pm.

This year’s non-profit International Coventry Film Festival presents their annual Driver Award to submissions from all across the globe, with some coming from as far away as China and the United States. The festival is excited to announce that submissions star such talent as Bill Nighy, most notable for his performances in Love Actually, Pirates of the Caribbean and classic English comedies such as Shaun of the Dead; Johnny Vegas, the hilarious comedian with an unmistakable husky style, and Doreen Mantle, most known for her priceless role in One Foot in the Grave.

Coventry’s most culture driven film festival offers audiences to experience locally and internationally sourced films in a competition to win the Driver Award and best performance in a short film for the 5th year. The festival will hold the viewing and awards for the short films on the Friday the 12th, with nominations coming from as far as Turkey, the USA and China, and then the feature lengths to be shown and awarded on Saturday the 13th.

The styles include both live-action and animation, with themes ranging from dystopian climate change to romance, horror and even to a comical take on the life of a washed-up vacuum cleaner.
