It turns out McKenna (Liana Liberato) is sleepwalking, another attribute to being burdened by the chrysalis attached to her. The strangest part about this new habit is that Violet (Haley Ramm) denied ever having those experiences when the evil element bestowed her. But then again, I fail to understand why any of the characters attempt to trust Violet at this point. Episode 3, “Sly As a Fox” sees McKenna far-removed from her social life, while the other characters delve into more personal issues.
McKenna’s now ex-boyfriend Trey is pathetically moping around wondering why he has lost his girlfriend. But then he quickly picks himself up and meets an old flame at her garage rock-band. The chemistry is still there, but he seems to ignore the fact that his friend is flagrantly wanting to reignite the romance they once had before, inviting him to play a few songs for the band at a night event planned. When she tries kissing him, he leans away and drivels on about McKenna. It’s revealed that McKenna has been kissing other people at social events. Light as a Feather season 2, episode 3 is proving that the chrysalis is making McKenna an unpopular figure.
“Sly As a Fox” ponders around Alex’s (Brianne Tju) new flame on the street. The two hang-out and Alex tries to make a move, but again, the kiss never takes place. Episode 3 is more about misplaced kisses than the actual story itself.
So with McKenna’s mother understandably worried about her daughter, the situation deepens as McKenna accidentally pushes a young man down a construction site hole while serving community service, and he is severely injured from the fall. There seems to be no rest for the lead character so far in Light as a Feather season 2.
As a side note, Violet is clearly up to something, reaching back out to Isaac, but what are her true intentions?
