Archibald’s Next Big Thing Season 1 brings the care-free chicken to life and teaches valuable lessons for kids and adults alike.

Netflix Series Archibald’s Next Big Thing Season 1 was released on Netflix on September 6, 2019.

If you look at Archibald (voiced by Tony Hale), he’s not what you would expect a chicken to look like. The character is tall, long head, long legs but a very small middle. He’s comically appealing to look at. A little bit like Spongebob, who is illogically square, but it’s sellable for the kids.

Netflix series Archibald’s Next Big Thing is a proud project by Tony Hale, who recently declared that the character is his role model, describing him as someone who sees the best in every situation. In a world where negativity is increasingly trendy, causing our current and upcoming generation to feel self-entitled and take no accountability, I feel this is the kind of programme kids would benefit from.

Archibald’s Next Big Thing surfaces a character that “just goes with it”. Every situation that comes his way, he gobbles up and finds his own solution in his own way. It’s always about trying his best. For instance, in the opening episode, Archibald is determined to be a hero, to prevent a sewer from leaking with masses of water, but in his own unique way, he realizes he does not need to be a hero, he just needs to try his best.

Putting the kids aside, I did wonder often how this show would serve adults, and if there was any purpose for a parent to lay down their chores and view it on the couch with their little ones. I genuinely believe there is an argument that this can be a shared experience, with Archibald’s Next Big Thing laying out several stories that center around how happiness creates happiness.

With a great sounding voice cast with Tony Hale proudly leading, Archibald’s Next Big Thing Season 1 will undoubtedly put a smile on your face. As for it doing the children’s book justice, I’m not sure, but I’m sure parents will tell me in the comments. The Netflix series unashamedly could be your kid’s new morning watch, and that is not a bad thing.
