Summary

If you love fast cars competing against each other and hearing varying opinions on motor racing, then Netflix Series Fastest Car Season 2 is for you.

Netflix Series Fastest Car Season 2 was released on the platform on September 20, 2019.

This is my first exposure to Netflix Series Fastest Car. For some strange reason it slipped our net here at Ready Steady Cut, considering we cover absolutely everything on streaming platforms.

But like all reality shows, the good news is, if you are a newcomer, you do not need to watch Season 1 to dig into Fastest Car Season 2. The concept is relatively simple — motor enthusiasts battle out on a straight to see which is the fastest car. There’s always a stand-out car, for instance in Episode 1 three self-built Hondas race against an arrogant Lamborghini driver. And when I say arrogant, I mean he s–ts on poor people in his introduction for no reason. What a way to sell yourself on TV.

If you love cars and motor-racing, Fastest Cars will surely light up your brain cells, but even if you are not into the smell of exhaust pipes, you can take away a lot of personalities from this Netflix series. The show relies on various people, different classes.

Everyone is different; each person bringing a car to the scene has a different feel to what a car should be like — what they all have in common is that they need their car to be one thing: fast. Very fast. And it’s part of their pride that they win the ultimate race that occurs at the end of each chapter.

It’s strange how much Netflix have delved into the reality TV show market, and it’s even stranger how they’ve managed to pull it off. The streaming platform has trusted its one-batch approach and refused to do a weekly format. Fastest Car Season 2 is a good addition to the roster, helping addicts of MTV to switch on Netflix instead. That can only be a good thing.
