Aftershock Comics has a new writer on board in the form of Brandon Thomas and he has a new title launching in May. Sympathy For No Devils is a new supernatural title with art by Lee Ferguson that follows the story of Winston Wallis.
Winston is all that remains of mankind and is surrounded by demons, monsters, and ghouls. It appears there is a murder mystery at the heart of the story, and lovers of fantasy, horror, and mystery should find something to enjoy here.
In a recent interview, writer Brandon said: “The book is five different genres beautifully smashed together to create a world that never plays it safe, and always keeps the characters (and hopefully the readers) off-guard.”
When asked about his inspiration for the book, Brandon gave us an insight into his mood board that helped him create the title: “The things on my mood board for this were Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Devil In A Blue Dress, Cool World, and Bad Boys.”
That’s quite a list and certainly paints an interesting picture about the tone of this book.
Sympathy For No Devils is released on May 20th from AfterShock and is 32 pages in color for $4.99.
