Here’s an exclusive preview of Red Atlantis, a new book from AfterShock written by Stephanie Phillips with art and color from Robert Carey.
A series of unexplained violent crimes on Election Day around the US leads the FBI to zero in on a covert group of Russian terrorists. When a Texas journalism student named Miriam accidentally finds herself mixed up in the investigation, her life will never be the same.
Writer Phillips explains what to expect from Red Atlantis: “There are a lot of familiar themes, espionage, politics, Russian-U.S. tension, but the story brings a supernatural element that is actually steeped in history.”
It appears that the basis of the story has a real-life origin and that always lends a sense of reality to a book.
Red Atlantis looks set to be another winner for Phillips, as this is her third book for Aftershock.
If you are a fan of thrillers, with a comic book twist, you can look forward to Red Atlantis in June. It has 32 full-color pages for $4.99 and there is also a stunning variant cover from Tim Bradstreet.
