This recap of Netflix series Brews Brothers season 1, episode 4, “Monk Monday” contains significant spoilers.

This is by far the most random episode so far. Brews Brothers season 1, episode 4, “Monk Monday” conjures up a scenario where Adam, Wilhelm, Sarah, and Chuy require monks to visit so their brewery can be blessed and also get a gift of truffles.

Now, why truffles? Well, the ever pompous Adam has decided to make the most luxurious beer he could muster, which requires truffles, making it a rather expensive beer to produce.

So our group of brewers spend most of Episode 4 fretting over whether the monks will show up. Will their beloved dog meet their expectations, will the crowd be impressed by the themed “Monk Monday”, will Adam ruin the event? Brews Brothers season 1, episode 4, “Monk Monday” is absolute madness.

And when the monks arrive, there’s a relief, apart from the dog (they picked the wrong one up from the grooming services), which results in Sarah getting an allergic reaction from cats. The brewery becomes one big monk party where the monks go absolutely mental and Adam is appalled by the drinking.

Adam ends up getting initiated by the monks in a weird, unusual manner where they pour beer down a tube into his mouth from one of the monk’s arses (I’m not making this up). And then a fight breaks out at “Monk Monday”. A group of actors turn up pretending to be monks — they were the backups in case the real monks did not show up. We have a wrestling show of real monks vs fake monks.

Brews Brothers season 1, episode 4, “Monk Monday” ends with the real monks satisfied with the brewery and they give their blessing, and unfortunately, the dog ends up eating the truffles as it falls out one of the monk’s arses — it was the only way he could get it through customs.
