Note: Bulletproof Season 2 has stopped airing now and has gone off the boil a bit, but for the sake of completeness we’ll be covering the remaining episodes in a less comprehensive fashion than usual.
The Markides family’s illicit businesses evidently aren’t contained to England’s capital, as we learn quickly in Bulletproof Season 2, Episode 3. That has been brought up before, obviously, but it’s nice to see some confirmation of it. Here, the search for one of the missing girls leads directly back to Amsterdam, which makes for a nice change of pace and scenery.
What’s going on is a people-trafficking operation that’s exploiting young girls for deeply unpleasant purposes. Bishop (Noel Clarke) and Pike (Ashley Walters), still undercover, go out there to follow the lead, but they can’t rely on the Dutch authorities, which at least makes for some fun sequences.
In particular, a canal-side car chase is a real standout. On a character level, Pike continues to grapple with his undercover status, allowing himself a cheeky line under the watchful eye of nutcase Mikey (Ben Tavassoli) and a quick smooch with Scooch (Olivia Chenery), although who can blame him for that? Bulletproof Season 2, Episode 3 also plays with the idea that Bishop enjoys the undercover lifestyle perhaps a bit more than is strictly healthy.
