How does Transformers: War for Cybertron season 1 (Siege), episode 3 open?

Megatron announces that Prime and his Autobots killed one of their own. Prime suggests taking Allspark off the Cybertron but Elita says the legends state that taking Allspark means Cybertron dies. It almost feels like Elita is on the verge of betraying the Autobots, she’s frustrated.

Repair the Spacebridge

Elita protests about Prime’s plans but Wheeljack has a plan — repairing the Spacebridge that will help them off the planet. Elita believes this is desperation. In one of the sectors, the Decepticons find an Autobot spy which leads to a fight. Prime joins the efforts. What’s noticeable and upsetting for the Autobots was seeing a graveyard of dead Autobots.

The engineer

They find Ratchet as he’s a great engineer but he’s cynical now, blaming Prime for the end of Cybertron. He refuses to help fix the Spacebridge. Prime tells Ratchet that the fate of Cybertron is on us. It’s then revealed that Ratchet has been treating Impactor, a Decepticon. Impactor starts running his mouth so Ratchet asks the Autobots to leave as they are upsetting the patients.

Take the shot

Meanwhile, Ultra Magnus is getting tortured by Megatron. He refuses to tell them where Prime is. Magnus ends up freeing himself from torture and asks Megatron to turn around, but Magnus doesn’t take the shot and he’s knocked over — he was too crippled by honour. Megatron says “Always take the shot”. The war could have been ended right there.

Ratchet agrees to help

Ratchet finally agrees to help Prime fix the Spacebridge. He tells Impactor to stay behind and look after the patients; Impactor offers to help Ratchet to make sure he comes back alive. This is a rare moment for Autobots and Decepticons — working together. Meanwhile, Magnus continues to be tortured and he grows weaker. Eventually, Magnus agrees to tell Megatron where the Autobots are.
