Aggretsuko season 3, episode 4 recap – “Winds of Change” Positivity.



“Winds of Change” sees a positive, happy lead character that gives an upbeat feeling.

The opening

Retsuko sells her Virtual Boyfriend game at an exchange store. She seems embarrassed as the store clerk points out what game it is. Afterward, she pays Hyodo back some more money from the settlement agreement. She’s also launched a YouTube channel about her heavy death metal karaoke. The character is way more positive in “Winds of Change”. She’s over a hill it seems.

Social media

Retsuko also puts her financial plans in place so OTM Girls can start making a profit. She also checks out their social media account and sees it’s a fake account. She wants to make an official account and manage it. Proactive Retsuko is the best.

Taste in music

Washimi points out to Retsuko that she seems to be enjoying her side job. Meanwhile, Haida bumps into Inui in a vinyl record store and they go for a drink and talk about their tastes in music. The pair have a good evening.

Making genuine money

Retsuko spends many hours building the social media account for OTM Girls and it seems to be doing rather well. Hyodo finally pays them now they are making a profit. Retsuko is emotional as she feels like she’s finally earned the money. She tries to return the money to pay back the debt but Hyodo refuses to accept it.

The ending

At work, Haida and Inui are shy around each other and Fennoko notes their chemistry.

On the way home, Hyodo and Retsuko listen to the demo of the new song by OTM Girls. The lead singer goes to a Karaoke booth with Hyodo to sample the song. He hears death metal from one of the rooms and sees Retsuko inside the booth and looks shocked. Aggretsuko season 3, episode 4 sees a positive, happy lead character that gives an upbeat feeling.
