Retsuko is still trying to make gains on her “Death Voice” YouTube channel. She then sees Hyodo in the doorway and she panics. Hyodo suddenly doesn’t want to practice the song with the lead singer as he’s shocked by what he’s seen.
More debt repayments
At work, Retsuko tries paying back Washimi the money she owes her in secret. They don’t want Gori to find out as they think she’ll take it personally. Nothing changes with this dynamic despite it being the third season.
New lead singer
Hyodo plays death metal to OTM Girls and tells them that this will be their new song. He tells the group that there will be a new member of the group — Retsuko. There is a shock in the room as Retsuko is replaced as the lead vocalist. What drama, but what a new development for the lead character!
What do I do?
At work, Retsuko tells Washimi about her new opportunity. They do not want Gori to know about the news. In the corridor she sees Haida and Inui; Haida tells Retsuko about his new romantic interest. Retsuko asks Haida for advice on her new opportunity.
Haida gives Retsuko a hypothetical situation about how he could have two romantic interests at work. He’s evidently on about Retsuki and his new love interest from the General Affairs department.
At her second job, the OTM Girls are watching a video of Retsuko doing Death Metal and they compliment her work and state it’s obviously her in the video. Restuko claims she’s too old to be an idol at 25 years old but then she learns the lead singer is 26. She’s selling herself short.
During a gig, OTM Girls start their new song — a remade version of the death metal song that they are sampling. She gets on stage and sings. Retsuko is finally born. Aggretsuko season 3, episode 5, “An Urchin in the Desert”, starts the transformation of the lead character as she takes the stage.
