OTM Girls believe that everyone was terrified of Retsuko and the place will be empty the next night. But it isn’t, the place is packed and they want more Retsuko with her death voice. The profit is increasing so the salaries are. Also, a famous music blogger has spoken highly of OTM Girls so their popularity is rising. Hyodo wants OTM Girls to release their first CD and wants to sell 3,000 copies. He wants each CD with a handshake ticket — 3 seconds for a fan to meet you and shake the band’s hands. Hyodo has gone full marketing mode.
Gori and Haida are suspicious about Retsuko’s whereabouts and follow OTM Girls’ vehicle — they are heading to the airport. The pair is spying on the group. Haida wants to get on the same plane as them and leaves Gori behind. This is next-level stalking and breaches many workplace and criminal laws!
An old friend
The OTM Girls are performing at a new venue. Haida is checking out the group’s social media and then Inui texts him which calms him down a little. He then bumps into old friend Tadano. Haida admits his feelings for Retsuko and that he feels like an outsider. Tadano tells Haida that he doesn’t need to know everything about her. It’s clear the character is conflicted and wants a resolution to his newfound love triangle.
During the 3-second handshakes, one of Retsuko’s fans greets himself and says he is the one from the blog “The Idol Chief” — it’s Komiya from work. He is overawed by her and ends up following her outside and tells her that “I won’t tell anyone about this”, referring to work. At work in the office the next day, Komiya keeps taking photos of Retsuko. Very creepy.
Later, Hyodo asks Retsuko “Why are you an idol?”. She wants to be everyone’s idol. Aggretsuko season 3, episode 6, “Crossroads”, sees Retsuko taking on the new life of fame as she has to juggle work and fandom.
