The final episode opens up with Franck and Thomas slowly moving around the block of flats. The shock has set in as gang warfare ripped through episode 9. They try to avoid seeing anyone, but as they hit the road, a man on a scooter whistles at them. It’s reached the point where Franck’s ambition to capture Tony’s life has reached a stage where his own life is now under threat — you can sense the nerves rattling through his voice.

Kidnapped

Franck finds a car, but they are both dragged out and kidnapped. Both men are thrown into the back of a vehicle, and Franck is emotional and regretful of his decisions. When they are removed from the vehicle, Tony stands over them.

Steve’s men arrive

Tony is furious that Franck and Thomas tried running away and points his gun at him. Franck admits to giving his camera to his brother Kylian, which led to him being beaten up. Moussa thinks Tony should kill Franck and Thomas, but Tony hesitates. Interestingly, he hesitates as it follows his character development smoothly — he confided in Franck that he wanted out of this life. I believe that’s where the hesitation comes from.

As Tony and Moussa argue, Steve manages to untie himself and shoot Moussa. Suddenly, more of Steve’s men arrive, and there are loads of gunshots. Franck wants to run away, and he screams at Thomas to move, but the cameraman is stricken with panic. The cameraman is shot, leaving Franck to pick up the camera and go alone. We can assume Thomas is dead.

The ending

Franck cries, hiding in an alleyway, believing he’s going to die soon — he’s all alone; his directorial vision has gotten the better of him. The gunshots calm momentarily, and he hears the police arrive and arrest Tony. As the police drive away, Franck’s camera dies, leaving audiences to make assumptions about what happened next.

We can only assume that Franck got away after the police arrived as the threat would have eased.
