Summary

Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. season 1, episode 10 amuses greatly, bringing the possibilities of continuation.

This recap of Hulu’s Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. season 1, episode 10, “Days of Future M.O.D.O.K.s,” — the ending explained contains spoilers.

Well, this has been a crazy series, so it’s only telling for it to end on a crazy note, but also tying in a potential second season (if Hulu and Disney decide to do so) to expand on this character.

Episode 10 begins with the Lou’s at the temple — M.O.D.O.K. tells Jodie that no one is invited to the Bar-Mitzvah. Jodie is worried that this will kill Lou’s self-esteem and believe it will be traumatizing. M.O.D.O.K. asks Melissa for help to fix his mistake in not organizing any attendees — he asks for any teens she can get to be there. Melissa gets to work and pretends there’s a reality show and sells it to teens, so they attend. To make it convincing, they do fake auditions with them.

Making the most out of a bad party

A teen named Sarah impresses at the audition, and M.O.D.O.K. wants her at the Bar-Mitzvah — he gets too obsessed and scares Sarah off. Instead, M.O.D.O.K invites creatures and superheroes to the party. The Lou’s are not too impressed with the party. M.O.D.O.K promises Jodie to bring more good people as Lou looks miserable. The Lou’s tell M.O.D.O.K. this is the day they become men and want to dance with him — he gets on stage and dances with his sons.

Alternative M.O.D.O.K. appears

Jodie tells M.O.D.O.K. that she wants her marriage with him to be different this time. But unfortunately, a supervillain (alternate M.O.D.O.K) returns to split up the conversation and ruins the party. M.O.D.O.K negotiates and tries to understand his alternate self to stop the attack — the alternate M.O.D.O.K explains how in the other timeline, he became an anomaly and witnessed all the futures with every timeline failing. M.O.D.O.K is then shown a memory of when he was younger. His mother tells him he’s going to change the world.

The ending

Alternate M.O.D.O.K. shows M.O.D.O.K. the one timeline where he succeeds — he explains his love for his family makes all this possible — he tells him that they need to die. M.O.D.O.K. goes into his alternate future where he is an emperor, but something is missing — he has memorabilia of all the Avengers he has defeated. The alternate M.O.D.O.K. is getting tortured by M.O.D.O.K, who tells him he can’t have it all. Alternative M.O.D.O.K dies, and his crystals die with him, but M.O.D.O.K. is convinced he can go back in time and save his family and have it all.

Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. season 1, episode 10 amuses greatly, bringing the possibilities of continuation.
