This article discusses the ending of Netflix’s Elite Short Stories: Guzman Caye Rebe, so it will contain major spoilers.
After moving into a new house, who could blame her after season 3, Rebe hosts a house-warming party. Guzman arrives first, where he’s told that Ander and Omar have already attended. (Likely a reference to their upcoming short story). Caye is next to arrive and looks rather dressed up considering her financial situation. It’s not long before the three of them eat some cake that contains magic mushrooms.
Under the effects of drugs, Guzman is pining for a text from Nadia. He is concerned about what she may be doing in New York. After, Caye reveals the trauma of her lifetime of lying before telling them she will be the new cleaner at Las Encinas. Their partying comes to an abrupt halt when Guzman finds hidden stashes of cocaine, and Rebe spots two armed men attempting to break in.
With all three fearing for their lives, Guzman more so, Caye wants to take the drugs for her own financial gain. Despite Rebe’s best efforts to attack the armed men with a fire extinguisher, which only harms Guzman, the two armed men climb the wall and break into the house.
Rebe, Caye, and Guzman panic as the effects begin to take their toll when Caye accidentally stabs Guzman. Luckily, she misses him and only stabs the cocaine he was holding.
The two armed make their way into Rebe’s house. Yet, unexpectedly they find Guman and Rebe on the floor. A hysterical Caye is screaming for her Mum as she waves a bloody knife around. It’s enough to scare the two armed men away. This is when Guzman and Rebe get up, having faked their deaths using Caye’s make-up.
Caye decides she no longer wants to sell the drugs, and Rebe declares she will disown her mother if she continues to sell drugs. After Guzman receives gets a text from Nadia, the trio has more drinks and party away.
In a change from its usual feel, this is a comedic take from Elite. Elite Short Stories: Guzman Caye Rebe builds the gap between season 3 and season 4 and is extremely fun to watch that will make audiences eager for season 4.
