We’ve reached halfway through the series and we’re getting more affectionate as Lee Hwi begins to undergo a great transformation. All we know is, everything is going to be more tangled than ever. Here’s where we are up to in the story:
- Lee Hwi stepped out of her game to finally confront the Palace and shows herself to solve the problem: from Ji-Woon’s false accusation to Chief Eunuch to Ming’s secret.
- Ji-Woon gives a drunken kiss on Lee Hwi’s cheek.
- Ga-on has the linked past to Inspector Kang’s conspiracy that happened 10 years ago at the Palace involving Ji-Woon’s father and probably Lord Sangheon.
The King’s Affection season 1, episodes 9 and 10 release date/time
Episode 9 will be released on November 8, 2021. The usual time is 3:30 pm (GMT), but sometimes this varies. We do not anticipate any changes to the schedule yet (sometimes this happens in the K-Drama world.). Episode 10 will air at the same time the next day.

- A new character will come to join the chaos. Lee Hwi will dwell in arranged royal marriage to produce an heir. The situation will put her in a tight spot regarding her identity as a woman.
- The news of her arranged royal marriage will push Ji-Woon and Hyun to finally confront their feeling towards Lee Hwi.
- Hyun will probably reveal that he already knows her secret to Lee Hwi; he’ll most probably offer his life to protect her secret.
- Ji-Woon is having a conflict over his feelings towards Lee Hwi, as he also learns the truth regarding her identity after finding things that she hides. One of them is Ji-Woon’s gift for Dam-i.
- Ga-on is probably the son of Inspector Kang that was beheaded 10 years ago.
