Covid-19 caught up with Swagger in the sports drama’s latest episode, but it isn’t the only problem facing Jace and the rest of the team following their assault on Crystal’s coach. As real-life continues to blend with character drama, there is plenty to speculate about in time for Swagger season 1, episode 7 next week. But first, let’s take account of where we are right now:

  • After assaulting Crystal’s coach, Jace and the others agree to keep it quiet, but Musa is visibly uncomfortable with what happened. He promptly leaves because his grandfather contracts Covid-19, but the team is fractured.
  • Phil’s abuse at the hands of his father becomes known to the team, and his father pursues him as he tries to stay away from the house.
  • Given all of their various stresses, the team underperforms in their latest game. Jenna suspects Ike is at fault, even though he clearly isn’t.
  • The NBA plans to postpone the rest of the season due to the pandemic.
  • Meg tries to secure sponsorship from Gladiator but is turned down by Alonzo.
  • Jenna misses Jackie’s dance performance, leading to drama within the family.
  • Jace and Crystal share a kiss.

“#RADICALS” Predictions

“All on the Line” was a slower-paced, more transitional episode, which means it raises a lot of interesting possibilities for where the story might go as we progress. Here are some suggestions:

  • The effect of Covid-19 on the league is obviously going to be fleshed out. Will it cut Swagger’s season completely short? Will it work like a ticking-clock device? Either way, the presence of Coronavirus will definitely be felt.
  • With Meg having failed to negotiate sponsorship for Swagger, how is the team going to keep afloat? Will Meg have to do something that compromises her relationship with Ike, such as making a deal that goes against his principles? Desperate times call for desperate measures, after all…
  • The team will probably continue to rally around Phil, and one suspects Ike will have a more concrete solution for keeping him safe from his father.
  • The investigation into the attack on Crystal’s coach will obviously continue and may well come back to haunt Jace and the others. Will the CCTV footage come into play here?
  • Jace and Crystal’s new romantic relationship will likely blossom, but will either or both of them decide that they’re better off as friends?
