Who is Lisa in The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window?
Lisa appears to be in a happy relationship with Neil and looks to have a close-knit family bond with him and Emma. However, the truth is actually far from it. In truth, Lisa’s real name is Chastity, and she is a con artist.
Whilst she worked as a bartender, she met a stripper, SexyRexy. Together, although Lisa appears to be the brains of the plan, they staged a plan to con rich men out of their money. She would have SexyRexy pose as her brother and pretend that he was dying from some rare disease. Lisa would then convince the rich men to fund his treatment. After which, Lisa and SexyRexy would leave with the money.
After reading about Meredith’s (Neil’s wife) death in the paper, Lisa purposely bumped into Neil, wormed her way into his life, all with the agenda of taking his money. On whole, Lisa doesn’t appear to be a kind person at all. She has little difficulty conning people out of their money, even if they have gone through some personal loss.
Unbeknown to Lisa, at the time of her death she was being investigated by the police.
What does Lisa do? (spoilers)
After Lisa returns home, she almost immediately chucks out the markers that Anna gave Lisa as a gift. When Anna begins to suspect that Lisa may be a drug dealer, Lisa is stabbed to death by Emma. The reason for the violent attack? Because Lisa wouldn’t buy Emma a chocolate bar.
Regardless of the fact that she’s dead, Lisa continues to cause trouble. As there are doubts whether she is actually dead, her partner-in-crime SexyRexy appears and exposes Lisa as a con artist. After her body is unearthed, first SexyRexy and then Anna is arrested for her murder.
Eventually, though, the truth about Lisa’s death comes to light.
