This article, ” What are Jenny’s special abilities,” contains spoilers regarding Netflix’s In From the Cold season 1.
During the eight episodes of In From the Cold, Jenny Franklin gets placed in a number of dangerous situations. Had she not had her powers, it wouldn’t be a stretch to suggest that Jenny would have faced certain death.
The reason for her abilities is down to her reluctant participation in the Yaroslav Program and the forceful/controlling nature of her mother Svetlana. After murdering Dr Orlov, his guards attempt to break down the door, which, once they do so, will likely result in Jenny/Anya’s death, an event that Svetlana predicated. Instead of helping extract Jenny/Anya from the location, Svetlana forces her to inject herself with a sample of the Yaroslav Program. The result of doing so means that Jenny/Anya gains a number of special abilities.

In the first episode of In From the Cold, we learn that not only is Jenny a former Russian agent, but she is a bio-engineered agent!
Also, it could be likely that we’ve only seen some of Jenny’s abilities. If a second season of In From The Cold was to happen, there is the chance that the writers would introduce several more abilities for Jenny. For now, this is a discussion of the abilities that we saw in the first season.
Body Morph
The biggest of Jenny’s powers is her ability to body morph. She can morph into anyone that she has touched hands with, aka collected their DNA. She uses this power several times throughout the season. First using it at the end of the first episode, to escape from a male prison, she uses it almost in every episode. There is a weakness to this ability, though. It puts intense pressure on her organs and can leave her in a weakened state. It has also been shown when Jenny was worried about Becca, that this ability can be a struggle for Jenny to maintain.
Camo-Mode
First seen in the third episode, Jenny can use camouflage to hide from her enemies. After being ambushed by the Jackals, Jenny shows that she can camouflage as she hides until Chauncey and Chris can come to her aid. Jenny also used camouflage to gain intel on Felipe.
