The fifth episode of The Afterparty (and arguably the best one yet) took viewers way back to high school. With the flashback episode providing several characters, mainly Aniq, with motives for killing Xavier, the question still remains as to who killed Xavier. Here’s what went down in the latest episode.

  • Walt (who no one remembers) details the St Patrick’s Day party that happened at his parent’s house 15 years ago.
  • During which, Xavier makes a pass at Chelsea. She turns him down, although, Xavier allows the guests to believe that they had sex.
  • Aniq makes a mixed CD for Zoe. Which Brett uses to seduce Zoe.
  • Yasper “dumps” Xavier from his band, which Aniq gets the blame for.
  • Xavier humiliates Aniq, so Aniq smashes up Xavier’s new car. In turn, Aniq loses his college scholarship.
  • The note that the killer had written turns out to be discarded self-written lyrics from Xavier.
  • Zoe suggests that she could be the one who killed Xavier.

The Afterparty season 1, episode 6 release date/time

The next episode, titled Zoe, is scheduled to premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, February 18th, 2022 at midnight PT. It’s the sixth of eight total episodes airing weekly between now and Friday, March 4th, 2022.

Where to watch The Afterparty season 1, episode 6

The Afterparty will air exclusively on Apple TV+. Based on a US subscription, the streaming app will cost $4.99 a month, with a seven-day free trial for new users. But there is also an annual subscription for $49.99. If you are in the UK, the cost is also the same, although obviously, it will be in GBP instead.

As the episode is titled “Zoe”, it’s more than likely that she will be at the center of the questioning. Up to this point, Zoe has remained calm, friendly, and reserved, at least in contrast to other characters. Could that change? Here are some predictions:

  • Zoe will have some shocking revelations about the night that Xavier died. There, possibly, could be more to her relationship with Xavier than previously suggested.
  • Zoe and Aniq will grow closer, whilst Chelsea will have another alcoholic drink.
  • There will be at least some reference to Jennifer #2 disappearance. Maybe she will get found in the closing minutes of episode 6? Or maybe she’ll be forgotten about again until the very last episode.
  • Killer prediction: I no longer believe that Zoe is the killer. I’m leaning towards one or both of the Jennifers.
