This article contains predictions for the Apple TV+ series Severance season 1, episode 3.

The first two episodes of Severance introduced us to the concept of the show and our main characters. Here’s what happened:

  • Helly underwent Severance – a procedure that bifurcates your memories so that when you are at work you only retain memories of work, and when you leave you cannot recall work.
  • She joined a group led by Mark, recently promoted after Petey, the former leader, left.
  • Their group analyses data, but it is unclear what their purpose is.
  • Petey managed to escape and “reintegrate” his brain. Outside of work he finds Mark, who has no memory of him, and tells him their workplace is doing some mysterious things.
  • Petey is suffering from “reintegration sickness.”
  • Helly tries to escape, but is unable, and is forced to reckon with her new life.
  • We learn Mark underwent the procedure after his wife died.
  • Their boss is Mrs. Cobel, who is posing as Mark’s neighbor outside work.

Severance season 1, episode 3 release date

The next episode of Severance will release on February 25th on Apple TV+. The first two episodes of the nine-episode miniseries dropped on February 18th followed by weekly releases of future episodes.

Where to watch

Severance is available on Apple TV+, which costs $4.99 a month and includes a 7-day trial.

There’s a lot of space for Severance to grow, and a lot of mysteries to be solved.

  • Next episode we might learn more about the Lumen Corporation’s founder, Kier Eagan, who was mentioned in episode two. This might shine a light on the severed workers’ duties, which are no doubt nefarious. I would guess it has something to do with control, something that they do not want regular employees to engage with.
  • After Irving met another severed worker, we now know there are more people on their floor than just those four. It looks like we’ll meet some others and learn what they do.
  • Due to his sickness, Petey doesn’t look well, and I don’t foresee him lasting more than a couple more episodes if any.
  • What happens in the Break Room, and does Mark remember it? Is it some form of torture or a way to make them more obedient?
