This article discusses whether there will be a season 3 of the Netflix series Bridgerton and its renewed or cancelled status.
Even if you haven’t watched the first two seasons of Bridgerton, chances are that you have heard of it. And to be fair, there was a time when the series was Netflix’s most-streamed show (a record that got broken by Squid Game). So if you haven’t heard of this series, where have you been?
The very successful period drama is based on Julia Quinn’s novels and is heavy on romance. And each season focuses on a different romance. The first season focused on Daphne Bridgerton and Duke of Hastings Simon Basset, whilst the second season focused on the love triangle between Anthony Bridgerton, Kate Sharma, and her sister Edwina Sharma.
But once the dinner parties have all concluded, is there still room for a third season?
Will there be a season 3 of the Netflix series Bridgerton – renewed or canceled status
Of course it’s coming back! As Bridgerton is Netflix’s second most successful show, did you really think that Netflix would pass on developing more seasons? And in even better news, it’s not just a third season that audiences are being treated to, a fourth season has already been confirmed.
Whilst there have been very few details announced about the third season (not surprising given that the second is only days from airing), the third book An Offer From a Gentleman may shed some light. In the book, the romance at the center of all the drama is between Benedict Bridgerton, and Sophie Beckett. Of course, this could very easily change, but as the first two seasons have stayed true to the books, it’s a safe bet to assume that this is the route that the show will continue to follow. Unsurprisingly, no date has been announced for the third season, but there was more than a year between the first two seasons of the series, so it’s likely to expect the same with the third season.
