Christopher Gorham can always play the unexpected lousy guy. After watching a series called Harper’s Island on CBS in 2009, every time I see him on screen, I think he may be killing his wife or girlfriend. Even as Augie on Covert Affairs, I was afraid for the lovely Piper Perabo. Yes, he plays Trevor Elliott in The Lincoln Lawyer. The billionaire video game mogul is on trial for killing his wife. Most of you who watch him now may think his slight grey hair makes him look like the son of Mr. Rogers. But hold on, I know he did it. You know who did it.
So, that begs the question:
Who is Trevor Elliott in season 1 of The Lincoln Lawyer?
Trevor Elliott is a billionaire in Los Angeles on trial for his life. He was charged with killing his wife and lover on their beach from the mansion. His lawyer, Jerry Vincent, was murdered, and Mickey Haller has been appointed his attorney.
What does Trevor Elliott do?
Oh, as I said above, he did it. The man is a greedy psychopath. He makes Mickey jumps through hoops for the job, and when Mickey is about to quit because Trevor went behind his back to get rid of a juror, he lies about what happened. They paid a bribe to keep a juror, and if they interfere with this, they will kill everyone, including Mickey’s family. They killed Trevor’s wife because he had no prenup, and if his wife went through with the divorce, they would lose their money.
But, as we know, Trevor is a psychopath. He lied about this as well. He murdered his wife because she was the real genius behind the company. She came up with the small but specific code that propelled Parralax games to new heights. With no prenup, and with Laura meeting her friend Sonia, who could help her with her case, Trevor could lose everything.
So, he did it as psychos tend to do. Have no fear, though. You know that lover Laura had? Jan? He was a yoga instructor who knew all the right buttons to push on many women. So much so that after Elliott was acquitted, he was shot to death by one of them. Right outside the company headquarters while making a speech and reintroducing himself to the rest of the world.
Like Lorna says, it’s always the women.
