In what might be the best Barry episode since “ronny/lily,” we found Barry being on the run for his life. In one incredible stretch, Barry outruns family members and friends of some of the people whose demise he played a role in. Yeah, sure, Fuches embellished Barry’s role in some, like the death of Taylor, but if they never met Barry, they may have lived another couple of weeks, tops.

  • Fuches, who first planted the seed of Barry owing Taylor money before he died (they did not care when he told them Barry killed him), shoots Fuches and leaves him dead.
  • Albert finally realizes Barry is the only one around town who is highly skilled enough to pull off the bombing at Cristobal’s home.
  • Albert’s investigation leads him to talk to Sharon, Chris’s widow, and laugh about how Barry has become an actor. She decides to invite everyone over for a dinner party.
  • Barry escapes assassination attempts that go on for several miles and minutes. He ends up at Sharon’s house for dinner. Barry is the first one and takes a bite to eat when he sees Fuches’ card on the table. He feels sick and foams at the mouth. • Since Joplin was canceled, Sally lands a job as a writer, and Henry offers a job to his new love interest on the show (played by Laura San Giacomo).

Let’s explore what may happen next week!

  • I honestly have no idea how Barry gets out of this episode. Will the life raft be Albert somehow shows up and saves him? Does Albert have some loyalty to Barry for helping him back in the service even if Barry murdered Chris?
  • Fuches planted the seed with Sharon, but did Albert help as well? He went to Sharon’s to talk about Barry after he suspects he may be the one leaving dead bodies all over Los Angeles the past few years. After seeing Chris and Sharon’s son, did he set up the trap?
  • Sharon had to get that from Ryan’s father about the trap and Barry eating something that had him foam at the mouth, right? We have not seen him since Fuches met with him two episodes ago. Remember, he is a doctor who has access to dangerous medications.
  • When Sharon left the kitchen before Barry ate the tainted food, she mentioned, “You know one of them,” to Barry about the veterans coming over. Did she mean Albert? That would mean Albert may be in on it and further muddies the waters on how Barry plans to find a way out of this.
  • Either way, if Barry somehow gets out of this mess, he will have to deal with Jim Moss, Janice’s father, who Fuches confirmed information for by the end of “710N.” And, if anything, we know you never mess with the actor who played Bunny on The Wire (played by Robert Wisdom).
  • Finally, Gene has found a new lease on life, and Sally has found her head above water with a new writing gig. Where will this lead? I think where it suggests. They are both given second chances.
