Physical is back after an entire year away, with the show continuing the tale of troubled housewife Sheila and her journey of self-discovery. Last season the aerobics expert managed to attain a production and distribution deal for her fitness videos. In “Don’t You Want Me” Sheila starts to promote and sell her product, although the marketing campaign isn’t going how she envisioned it. Here’s what happened in episode one of Physical:
- At a party, Sheila tries to talk with Auggie about her marketing strategy, but the businessman seems uninterested. She leaves the party with her husband Danny in a limo.
- Danny is annoyed by the clientele at the party and rants about how much he hated the whole night. Sheila says how she put up with all his government parties. Danny is upset that he lost the election, but Sheila has had enough. She screams “I hate you” and similar insults.
- Sheila spends the night at Greta’s house. Her friend is eager for her to leave Danny, but she isn’t quite ready yet. She marches home ready to make some demands, yet the politician sweet talks her into submission.
- Danny says he will change, he’ll be more supportive and let her lead the way with her own business venture. Sheila agrees having lost her opportunity.
- She starts to promote her videotapes at a dreary, local store. There isn’t much interest at first, but she slowly makes some sales.
- Bunny makes a rival videotape with partner Tyler, although the footage is recorded over by roommates and lost forever. Whilst shopping for head lice shampoo, Bunny spots Sheila’s stand and steals a copy of her videotape Body By Sheila.
- Sheila sneaks out at night and sleeps with John.

- Sheila will continue her affair with John, but cracks will start to show in both individuals’ own relationships.
- Sheila didn’t expect such a mediocre marketing strategy; she will try to improve her business empire and make more demands with Auggie and his son. She has big dreams and will want to get onto the TV and billboards.
- Danny will grow frustrated with playing the stay-at-home dad and start to let his chores slip. The house will start to fall apart and Sheila will end up doing it all again.
- Danny’s thirst for politics will lead to a new venture, he just won’t be able to stay away for much longer.
- Bunny will be inspired by Sheila’s video and make her own much-improved version.
