Starz has brought to their networks (and app) a new costume drama, which will present the politically turbulent period following the death of England’s King Henry VIII. The series stars Alicia Von Rittberg (Emma in Fury) — she will be representing the young woman who became Queen Elizabeth I. The series comes from playwright Anya Reiss and stars Romola Garai as Princess Mary. We will see Elizabeth as an orphaned teenager who becomes intoxicated with politics on her mission to secure the crown.
Filming locations include Cardiff Castle in Wales.
