Cinda Canning makes a welcomed return as she battles the Arconia trio for podcast dominance. Her latest episode brings up some awkward memories from Mabel’s past, whilst the trio tries to hunt down the murderer via a stakeout. Here’s what happened in episode six of Only Murders in the Building:
- On the set of Brazzos, the trio and Lucy meet up once again. Oliver shows them the diner CCTV footage and Mabel finds a fingerprint on the matchbook. They ask Detective Williams to run the print and she agrees. The gang want Charles to date his hair and makeup artist friend Joy, but he is too shy.
- Detective Kreps calls in the trio and Cinda, asking them to stop their podcasts. He explains that Detective Williams is off on maternity leave and Oliver suspects he isn’t texting her at all. Is the killer in contact with them instead?
- Mabel chases after Poppy (Cinda’s assistant) and tells her not to run the damning interview. Cinda has managed to talk to Jimmy, a man who claims Mabel chopped off one of his fingers.
- The trio plan to leave fake evidence for the killer so they can track his whereabouts. Charles suggests they put a paint bomb in the evidence as a marker. Oliver changes it to glitter though.
- Poppy asks for a promotion and Cinda says she will think about it, but later rejects the idea.
- The trio wait for the suspected killer, but get distracted. Oliver uncovers Charles’ secret, he is still meeting up with Jan. Cinda releases her podcast and Mabel is enraged. The killer sets off the glitter bomb and escapes before they realize what has transpired.
- Charles asks Sazz (his stunt double) to break up with Jan for him. She reads a script he prepared for her. Jan is upset but also quite turned on by the reading.
- Mabel visits Alice, who has recreated Bunny’s murder scene. Mabel is overwhelmed by this psychotic behavior and feels unbelievable betrayal. She storms off.
- Oliver is anxious about the DNA test results, hoping he is the father, but fearing the worst. Charles tries to comfort him as they await a phone call.
- Mabel takes the subway. Poppy calls saying she has dirt on Cinda. Mabel spots a hooded man covered in glitter.
- Will sends Oliver a video that shows Mabel stabbing the hooded man on the subway.
