As soon as Netflix viewers learned that the third season of Locke and Key would be the very last, they were quick to speculate on what would happen to the Locke family members. Would Tyler regain his memories of the magic? Will there be some way for Rendall to return? Would there be even more death for the Locke family? And if so, who would die? Well, fear no more, as below are all your answers.
Locke and Key season 3 – what happens to the Locke Family in the final season?
When the final season of Locke and Key starts, Tyler is nowhere to be seen, having left the household at the end of the second season. And until the second episode, he remains very much apart from his family. However, when Duncan’s wedding approaches, Tyler realises that he must attend. And whilst at the wedding, a series of events (i.e. bumping into Captain Frederick Gideon) makes Tyler decide to stay even longer.
And by the end of the season, Tyler has regained his memories of the magic and seems to have a bubbling romance with co-worker Carly in the works. To sum up, whilst Tyler struggled with Jackie’s death, time proves to be a healer for him, and a rosy future seems a safe bet for him. And the same can be said for Kinsey.
When “Splattering 2” gets released to a glowing response, Kinsey’s movie career seems to be on the rise; then, to top it all off, Scot surprises Kinsey at the movie’s premiere. Meanwhile, Nina and Josh begin to date. And by the end of the season, it’s hinted that they are living together in the Keyhouse.
As for Bode, whilst he is the most upset at having to give up the magic that comes with the keys, a final trip helps him move on. After Bode, Nina, Kinsey, and Tyler, visit Rendell, it helps Bode understand that it’s best to give up the magic. Overall, despite the dangers of having several demonic entities chase after them, the Lockes end up unscathed.
