10 films like the Netflix film That’s Amor you must watch

A Dash of Love (2017)

This Hallmark film encompasses that studio sensibility with a love for food. An aspiring chef and executive chef (played by Jen Lilley and Brendan Penny) are unjustly fired from their restaurant. They join forces to open up their own eatery, and a romance ensues.

Chef (2014)

One of the most enjoyable films about cooking that takes the craft seriously, Jon Favreau stars in one of the great crowd pleasers of 2014. The film also combines a heart-swelling road trip as Favreau’s Carl Casper gets to know his son, and he reunites with his ex-wife, Inez (played by Sofia Vergara).

No Reservations (2007)

Catherine Zeta-Jones stars as a perfectionist chef who needs a little more fun and romance in her life outside the kitchen. She gets it when she takes in her niece and meets Nick. He is a brash sous-chef, as their sexual tension never goes below a simmer and always gets to a boil.

The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014)

Love your food a bit spicy? Here is a film that shows endless tasty Indian dishes that will perk up the taste buds. Here, the Kadam family moves from India to France only to open up their restaurant across the way from a Michelin-star restaurant. Like the Montagues and the Capulets, young chefs from rival families start a romance and fall in love. Except for this time, there is no chance anyone will get poisoned.

Love & Gelato (2022)

Love & Gelato has beautiful Tuscan countryside views, rustic dishes, and some of the most mouth-watering gelatos you will ever see on film. All while telling the love story of Lina being romanced by the dreamy Alessandro or the sweet Lorenzo.

The Lunchbox (2013)

Starring one of my favorite actors of all time, the late Irrfan Khan, he plays Saajan, a grumpy widower who accidentally comes across a special lunch. Was it for him? Well, no. It was made by a lonely homemaker named Ila. It was made for her ungrateful husband, and she is trying to bring the romance back into their marriage. As the meals keep coming, Saajan and Ina keep exchanging notes as they build a friendship without ever meeting face to face.

Off the Menu (2018)

The charming romantic-foody-comedy stars the wonderful Dania Ramirez and a winning Santino Fontana. The latter is heir to a fast-food chain, while Ramirez’s Javiera Torres plays a chef in New Mexico. It is like You’ve Got Mail, where Santino’s Joel looks for a new dish for his family’s Tortilla Hut chain and finds more than he was looking for.

Ratatouille (2007)

Hear me out, the bromance between a rat and a young garbage boy is nothing short of magical. Remy and Linguini’s bond over fine French cuisine remains a love story of the ages.

Waitress (2007)

One of my favorite romantic comedies of all time. Keri Russell is the Waitress in question, Jenna. She becomes pregnant and then falls in love with her doctor, played by Nathon Fillion. The pies are delicious, and the names she gives sting. Also, the banter of Fillion’s Jim asking Jenna out for a cup of coffee and her response still stands the test of time.

Woman on Top (2000)

If any movie combines the themes and elements of how the magic of cooking is a love language for the soul, Woman on Top is that film. Starring Penelope Cruz, she plays Isabella, a woman who hosts a cooking show called Passion Food. Cruz and Murilo Benicio’s Tonino have lovely chemistry together.
