Netflix is still going strong with its serious, true-crime, investigative documentaries. Bringing its viewers the most intense, interesting and informative content, keeping ahead of its competitors. This highly anticipated documentary showcases the fear and tragedies of the anthrax attacks in America only a week after the devastating, life-changing 9/11. These attacks caused five people’s untimely deaths and seventeen (if not more) were made extremely ill. Someone, somewhere, began mailing letters containing anthrax, and we follow the who-done it story, with exclusive, personal interviews and accounts of what happened. With a stellar cast, there are reenactments mixed with interviews, and all scripted scenes are based on real FBI field notes.

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming documentary.

The Anthrax Attacks: In the Shadow of 9/11 release date

The Anthrax Attacks: In the Shadow of 9/11 is set to release on Thursday, September 8th, 2022, on Netflix.

The Anthrax Attacks: In the Shadow of 9/11 premise

A seemingly mild-mannered biodefense researcher reveals a hidden dark side after he becomes a suspect in the deadly anthrax attacks of 2001.

Our opinion of the premise

From the premise alone I’m very intrigued and excited to see how this documentary unfolds. If a United States Citizen really had something to do with these awful attacks, so soon after the catastrophic terrorist attack, which shook the world. It’s almost unbelievable, which is why we need to watch this. In like most Investigative documentaries we’re sure to get insight into how the FBI and local law enforcement handled the case. We’ll get exclusive interviews with survivors, friends, family, and investigators. One this I am especially looking forward to in this documentary is that we’re going to get some first-class acting and re-enactments of what happened.
