This article discusses the Netflix comedy special Patton Oswalt: We All Scream, including the premise, release date, and trailer.

Patton Oswalt is a living, working, artistic genius who pulls at all our heartstrings and takes everything we’re familiar with, and turns it into comedy. He’s in everything. I watch a comedy series, and more recently, a fantasy series, and I either see him or hear his distinctive voice, which instantly makes me happy! This is why it’s very exciting that he’s bringing viewers a comedy special, which will be streaming on Netflix this September.

This is Oswalt’s first special since 2020’s I Love Everything, and it takes material from the 2021-22 “Who’s Ready to Laugh?” tour and was filmed at the Paramount Theatre in Denver, Colorado. This is one where he is not only the star, but he has also directed, which makes me wonder if he’ll be in a suit with a nice, plain staging or if he’ll push the boat out and be a bit more flamboyant. Either way, he can definitely own a stage and entertain an audience, and from all comedians since lockdown, we have high expectations that he’s going to bring us well-planned content and high, fierce energy.

Netflix comedy special Patton Oswalt: We All Scream release date

Patton Oswalt: We All Scream is set to release on the 20th of September, 2022.

The premise of the stand-up

Patton riffs on the hazards of aging, his failed shutdown plans, and the day his wife turned into a Valkyrie in this stand-up special he also directed.

Our opinion on the premise

I think Patton is going to use his story-telling skills to entertain his audiences through topics many can relate to. Isn’t that what comedians do best? He’s getting older, he’s got more life experience than most, and he can use all of this as material.

Is there a trailer?

No, I couldn’t find a trailer, but here is a link to his previous comedy special in 2020, which might give you an insight into what you can expect:

His friendly, honest approach will probably make him the funny victim and the brunt of his jokes and make the audience feel comfortable and at home. His zany characteristics and many voices will drive the stories and energy of the audience.

You will be able to watch this stand-up with a subscription to Netflix.
