What’s Coming to Netflix for Halloween 2022?

Here’s everything we know so far for Horror Month:

October 4

Mr. Harrigan’s Phone (2022)a Netflix original film – Blumhouse and Netflix have teamed up to adapt Stephen King’s short novel. This premise follows
Craig, a young boy, who befriends elderly billionaire John Harrigan. Craig then gives him a mobile phone. However, when the man dies, Craig discovers that he can communicate with his friend from the grave. The film adaptation will star Donald Sutherland and Jaeden Martell.

October 7

Old People (2022)a Netflix original German horror film that follows a woman who returns home with her children to attend her sister’s wedding. However, she must suddenly defend her family against older people on a killing spree.

The Midnight Club season 1 – another Netflix original horror series from Mike Flanagan (who else!). This will be the most anticipated series of the month. A teen adaptation about a group of terminally ill teens at a hospice. As part of an exclusive club, they make a chilling pact: the first to die must send a sign from beyond the grave. Hold tight, people; this may be another classic!

October 14

The Curse of Bridge Hollow (2022) – a Netflix original film that follows a Halloween-hating dad (played by Marlon Wayans) that reluctantly teams up with his teenage daughter when an evil spirit wreaks havoc by making their town’s decorations come to life.

October 18th 

Unsolved Mysteries season 3 – a Netflix documentary series – this successful reboot has now got a third season. This time they are releasing episodes over three weeks, with a different spooky mystery to be unveiled. Season 1 and season 2 were a hit, so let’s hope this is!

October 19

The School for Good and Evil (2022) – a Netflix original film – starring Sophia Anne Caruso, Sofia Wylie, and Charlize Theron, this will be the most anticipated film on Netflix for Horror Month. The premise follows best friends Sophie and Agatha, who put their bond up to the test when they’re whisked away to a magical school for future fairy-tale heroes and villains. The story is based on the book by Soman Chainani.

October 25

Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities season 1 – a Netflix anthological horror series – Mike Flanagan has some competition this month from the famous director Guillermo del Toro. The series will be releasing two episodes daily until October 28th.

October 27 

Daniel Spellbound season 1 – a Netflix original animated series – this series is already renewed for season 2, but the first season needs to gloat in Halloween Month first. The premise is as follows – magic is real, but it’s hidden from the public, and Daniel knows where to find it. He discovers a strange ingredient, he gets the attention of dangerous alchemists who takes him on an adventure while the magical world hangs in the balance.

October 28

Wendell & Wild (2022) – a Netflix original film – to end Horror Month, we are treated to a stop-motion animated film from director Henry Selic. The premise follows two demons attempting to move over to the land of the living.
