This article is a preview for FBI season 5, episode 2 and contains details about the release date, time, cast, and where to watch online.

Dick Wolf’s FBI isn’t just another wildly popular network procedural, but one that has cemented itself as one of the network procedurals by spawning a whole bunch of spin-offs in a connected universe — a small-screen tradition including the likes of CSI, Law & Order, and now NCIS. But despite Most Wanted and International making cases for themselves, the simply-titled FBI remains the flagship show, and also remains as popular as ever.

Thus, here we are with a fifth season, and like NCIS and NCSI: Hawai’i, it’s kicking off with a crossover event involving both of its subseries. Once that’s over, though, we’ll presumably settle back into the usual rhythm, with Maggie, OA, and the rest of the team doing whatever it takes for the sake of national security.

For the benefit of the many longstanding fans of this franchise, here’s everything we know about the latest episode.

FBI season 5, episode 2 release date/time

The latest episode is slated to release on Tuesday, September 27, exclusively on CBS.

Where to watch FBI season 5 online

As mentioned above, FBI is exclusive to CBS. If you can’t watch live, you can catch up the next day on Paramount+.

Is there a trailer?

Not quite, but there is a promo of the crossover event that’ll be kicking off the season for all three FBI shows. You can check that out here:

How many episodes will FBI season 5 have?

Previous seasons haven’t been all that consistent, but you can probably expect somewhere in the region of 18-22 episodes of this season.

Who is in the cast?

There haven’t been many shakeups to the core cast for this season:

  • Missy Peregrym as Special Agent Maggie Bell
  • Zeeko Zaki as Special Agent Omar Adom ‘OA’ Zidan,
  • Jeremy Sisto as  Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine
  • Alana De La Garza as Special Agent in Charge Isobel Castille
  • John Boyd as Special Agent Stuart Scola
  • Katherine Renee Turner as Special Agent Tiffany Wallace
  • Taylor Anthony Miller as Analyst Kelly Moran
  • James Chen as  Analyst Ian Lim
  • Vedette Lim as  Analyst Elise Taylor
  • Shantel VanSanten as Special Agent Nina Chase

It’s worth noting that Missy Peregrym’s maternity leave doesn’t end until September, so while she will be returning for the season, it might not be until later in the Fall or even next year.
