See is a sci-fi epic created by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders) for Apple TV+. This post-apocalyptic drama has run for three seasons now after launching back in 2019. The saga tells the story of a futuristic world where the majority of mankind is born without the ability of sight. Those that can see are hunted down by witch-finders and killed for their seemingly ungodly powers. Civilization has returned to a time very similar to that of the middle ages, with simplistic weaponry and machinery, but war always seems to be on the horizon.
See season 3 focuses on the deranged leader Tormada (David Hewlett), who has discovered the raw power of explosive weaponry, which is sometimes referred to as God thunder. He hopes to build an unstoppable empire with these new weapons, destroying all of his enemies that stand in his way. Baba Voss (Jason Momoa) is one of the first to notice the overwhelming destructive power of these bombs, and he swiftly heads back to his Queen to warn everyone of an ensuing battle. Fans of the series will be eagerly anticipating the season finale and desperate to find out if a fourth season is in the works.

Apple TV+ has already confirmed that the third season will unfortunately also be the show’s final season. This news hasn’t been flung upon the writers, and they have had plenty of time to prepare for this eventuality. In this manner, it is more of a conclusion than a cancellation. This all means that the season finale should hopefully conclude this storyline in a satisfying and rewarding fashion. The creators have the opportunity to end the show properly, giving the characters and this well-crafted world a respectable send-off.
Those that have been following the third season will be aware that Trivantian scientist Tormada has been masterfully priming himself, ready for this ultimate showdown. His political and military stratagem has all led to this inevitable battle. It will be interesting to see just how things conclude. Will Baba save the day and stop the villainous Tormada and the unhinged Sibeth (Sylvia Hoeks) from destroying Maghra’s city, or will evil dominate this troubled society?
