Another Netflix Reality series (shock!) — in anticipation of Drink Masters, we discuss the release date, time, official premise, cast, and trailer.
As the month of October draws to a close and the cold, dark nights move in, Netflix is bringing us a series that will inject some fun and vitality into life once again. We’ve seen plenty of culinary competitions hit our screens over the years, and now, we have the perfect liquid accompaniment lined up to go alongside them.
Drink Masters is a brand new reality series fresh from Canada featuring a selection of 12 contestants from all over North America and will see them fight it out to take home the title of “Ultimate Drink Master.” It comes from the minds of the creators of a televised glass-blowing competition and could well present plenty of excellent ideas for cocktails to fill said glasses with.
Here’s everything we know so far about Drink Masters:
Netflix reality series Drink Masters premise
Here is the official premise:
“World-class mixologists showcase their dazzling cocktail-crafting skills as they compete for a $100K prize — and the title of Ultimate Drink Master.”
Our opinion of the premise
If ever there was a show right up the street for fans of culinary competitions that wasn’t just another culinary competition, it has surely got to be this absolute belter of a reality series. Granted, mixology might be a little more niche than more general cooking topics, but you cannot tell me this doesn’t have a wide appeal. And think about it… even with all of the cooking and baking contests we’ve seen over the years, how many of them have really taken a look into the beverage side of food and drink? They may occasionally talk about nice wines to pair certain dishes with, but this looks like it will take things to a whole new level. I can already tell I’m tuning in to see what it’s all about.
Drink Masters release date
The Netflix reality series will be released globally on Netflix on Friday, October 28th, at 12 am PT.

There sure is! Check it out below:
Drink Masters really does sound like it will be a fabulous addition to the world of food and drink TV shows. I can already tell that there will be any amount of concoctions recreated in some fashion at home by those who give it a spin. And, with the festive season not too far around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better. This show could be an absolute winner, and I, for one, will definitely be giving it a go in the hope that inspiration for some new and exciting rum-based cocktails hits me like a freight train, which I believe there is every chance that it will.
