We discuss the Paramount+ series Tulsa King including the release date, plot synopsis, cast, and trailer.
Sylvester Stallone is set to debut in his first major TV role in the upcoming Paramount+ series Tulsa King. Another first is seeing Stallone play the role of a mobster in the series. We share all the details regarding the forthcoming release of the series below.
Paramount+ series Tulsa King plot synopsis
The official synopsis is as follows:
“New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone), just after he is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Okla. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that, to him, might as well be another planet.”
Our opinion of the premise
We have seen quite a few mafia-style stories on TV in the past. However, that type of drama is the type of series I love to watch. If I am being honest, picking up a mob boss from New York and planting him in Tulsa, Oklahoma, sounds like a brilliant idea. Let’s toss in that we have Sylvester Stallone playing that mob boss, and Taylor Sheridan creates the series, and I am 100% interested in checking it out.
Tulsa King release date
Tulsa King will be released on Paramount+ on Sunday, November 13th. Two episodes will stream after the premiere of the new season of Yellowstone and then it will be followed by weekly episodes.

Is there a trailer?
There sure is! Check it out below:
If anyone was made to play a mob boss, it was Sylvester Stallone. He wears a suit and sunglasses and is built like an imposing threat to take over a town, and it is Stallone. I know people criticize Stallone for his acting sometimes, but people don’t realize how good of an actor he really is. If you watch this trailer, he has a presence that immediately makes you pay attention and want to see what is ahead.
So, having experienced the trailer for the first time right now, I will say that the vibe you get is like something we have seen on TV before. I don’t think anything about the trailer outside of Stallone stands out, but Stallone’s presence makes me want to watch the series. Overall, they could’ve done a better job of selling the show, but I will watch it regardless.
