We discuss predictions for the Prime Video series The Peripheral season 1, episode 7, and include the release date, time, and where to watch online.

With all this criminal activity underway, The Peripheral finally involves the law, as Detective Ainsley Lowbeer (Alexandra Billings) enters the narrative. The Detective questions the criminals in London’s future, whilst Conner (Eli Goree) contemplates a new life in America’s past. This installment also sees Flynne (Chloë Grace Moretz) looking for answers and Corbell (Louis Herthum) taking Bob (Ned Dennehy) hostage, seeking ones of his own. There are lots of long-winded dialogue-heavy scenes, as characters try to deceive one another, talking in riddles. The smug conversations do distract, although Conner’s subplot is engrossing. Here’s what happened in The Peripheral season 1, episode 6:

  • A flashback reveals how Conner sustained his injuries. The experiment Aelita was shown at the Research Institute actually involved Burton and his men. Conner decided to free the trapped dog, but this triggered a bomb. Conner wakes from this nightmare.
  • Detective Ainsley Lowbeer is informed of the murder of Daniel and goes to investigate what happened and who was involved. This takes the inspector to Lev’s house. The criminals are nervous around the infamous detective. Lowbeer requests to see all three of the peripherals in the household.
  • Tommy is told to take a paid leave of absence. He tries to investigate the invisible car, but that has gone missing. More troubling, the Sheriff’s shoes match those of the assailant who crashed into Tommy and dragged Bob away from the wreckage.
  • Wilf and Flynne walk the streets of London. Wilf explains that the people and most of the buildings aren’t real, just holograms to make everything look better. Their reality is terribly distorted and Flynne ponders what other secrets are been kept from them. They talk to the fabricator, who built Aelita’s peripheral. He was told to build a peripheral that could take a human eye.
  • Conner contemplates living in a peripheral for good, so that he can get the use of his legs back once again. Macon believes this is a bad idea though, it could destroy his human body in the meantime.
  • Corbell keeps Bob hostage and fits him with an electrically charged collar. While Corbell is out, working alongside the corrupt Sheriff, Bob makes his escape.
  • Burton chats with Conner about the accident and his future plans. He passes Conner some new legs, but he rejects them again. There is no changing Conner’s mind. London calls them and the three are sent to the future.
  • Flynne, Burton, and Conner wake in their avatars. Lowbeer shakes hands with Flynne.

Predictions

  • Lowbeer will question Flynne about the night Aelita went missing. Flynne will be completely honest and confess to everything, including the headset and the simulation.
  • Lev and Wilf will try to cover their backs and give some legality to Flynne’s statement, but it won’t fly with Lowbeer. Lev and Wilf might be arrested on the spot or flee just before.
  • Bob has more than likely escaped Corbell’s mansion, he will head straight to the Fisher household to finish off what he started. He may track down their location and be met by Burton’s armed men. Another shoot-out will ensue.
  • Cherise and robot Daniel will continue their hunt for Aelita. There must be more clues to her whereabouts on the way.
