Hulu is dipping into the world of Chippendales with their latest series that follows Somen Banerjee, the man who created them titled Welcome to Chippendales. We share everything you need to know about the upcoming Hulu series below.

Hulu series Welcome to Chippendales plot synopsis

Here is the official plot synopsis:

“Welcome to Chippendales,” tells the outrageous story of Somen “Steve” Banerjee, an Indian immigrant who became the unlikely founder of the world’s greatest male-stripping empire—and let nothing stand in his way in the process.

Our opinion of the premise

The premise alone piques my interest because I never knew that the Chippendales had THAT kind of story in the creation process. Furthermore, to understand that an Indian immigrant was the man behind it all? That adds another level of intrigue based on wanting to know the who, what, and why he created the entire thing. I also credit them for the “tease” of a premise they have lined up.

Is there a trailer?

There sure is! Check it out below:

In the day and age where we see trailers give EVERYTHING away, the people behind this trailer do a brilliant job of sharing just enough on the surface level to give us wanting more. You have two men in, Somen and Nick, who seem to go head to head in the battle for who is the man on the top. Another thing I liked is they highlighted quite a few supporting players that seem to be involved in the entire series. While honing in on Somen and Nick, we meet several other principal characters that bring the trailer some more intrigue.

Within the trailer, we got sex, drugs, and half-naked men dancing. What more could we possibly want? I mentioned above about the premise being just enough to tease us to invest our time. Well, the trailer does the rest of the job in giving me everything I need to want to watch. I am adding Welcome to Chippendales to my list of shows now.
