The latest season of The Voice is right around the corner, and it’s bringing with it some changes to the usual formula, as well as a new judge. With the latest changes, the idea of the show is to function as an event series every Fall, rather than the typical Spring release.
As ever, the overall concept of the show remains unchanged: Professional singers judge and mentor contestants with the goal of winning $100,000 in prize money and a record deal with Universal Music Group. This time around, though, there will be three artists per knockout, raising the stakes considerably, and the coaches will have to train the contestants themselves without the assistance of a Mega Mentor.
Here’s everything we know about the new judges, format changes and the latest episode(s).
The Voice season 22, episode 25 release date/time
The Voice season 22, episode 25 is slated to air on Monday, December 12, at 8 pm ET on NBC.
Where to watch The Voice online
As mentioned above, The Voice airs on NBC, and will be available to stream on FuboTV and Peacock.
Who are the judges and their advisors in The Voice season 22?
This season will see Camila Cabello joining John Legend, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani as judges. In terms of battle advisors, Jimmie Allen will join Blake Shelton, Sean Paul will help Gwen Stefani, Jazmine Sullivan will be in John Legend’s corner, and Charlie Puth will be with Camila Cabello.
What are the format changes?
While in large part the show will remain the same, NBC always introduces new wrinkles to keep the show fresh, and the format changes in The Voice season 22 are no different. As mentioned above, there will be three artists in each knockout, but only one can be chosen to move forward. There will be no celebrity advisor to help coach the artists. In the battles, each coach will have the opportunity to steal an eliminated contestant from another team and save one contestant from their own team.
