20. Dragon Ball Super (2017) 

Dragon Ball Super is filled with super-powered individuals who defend the earth against alien races and magical creatures. With Majin Buu now defeated and Earth at peace, the heroes have settled into normal lives. Just as they’re comfortable, here comes a new threat: Beerus, the powerful god of destruction, who awakens a prophecy predicting his demise at the hands of an even more formidable being. His search for that being brings him to Earth, where he enters a battle against Goku and his friends. Let the battles commence.  

19. Samurai Champloo (2005) 

Samurai Champloo follows the story of Fuu Kasumi, who is a fierce warrior with a unique fighting style, as she begins her journey in search of a mysterious samurai who smells of sunflowers. On her journey, she meets Jin and Mugen who she convinces to help her, although they do not always see eye to eye. This show features exciting battle scenes showing off the swordsmanship of all well-created characters. 

18. Devilman Crybaby (2018) 

Akira successfully transitions into a Devilman, a being with a demon’s powers but who retains the soul of a human. This sends Akira into a brutal, degenerate war against evil. With fear of demons gripping the world, humanity devolves into paranoia and violence and Akira sets out to save other demon-human hybrids like himself. 

17. Jo Jo’s Bizarre Adventure (2012) 

Jonathan Joestar, nicknamed JoJo, becomes involved in a battle against his stepbrother, Dio Brando, who is intent on taking control of the Joestar fortune. Dio uses the power of an ancient stone mask, which allows him to become a powerful vampire. This hybrid-anime series has so many genres, including paranormal, adventure, comedy, fantasy, and action, making it one entertaining series. 

16. Edens Zero (2021) 

Edens Zero focuses on Shiki, a young boy who grew up on a planet full of robots. After all the robots on the planet stop working, he travels with B-Cuber Rebecca Bluegarden out into the galaxy, to make as many friends as possible and discover the creator of the galaxy. While this may seem a cute premise, this series is full of action, as on their journey, they make plenty of enemies.  

15. Vinland Saga (2019) 

Vinland Saga, while it has some epic battle scenes, is a great way to broaden your knowledge and understanding of Nordic culture. The stakes are usually very high; warriors go into battle, putting their lives and honor at risk, possibly losing their life, their families, and their country.

Hunter X Hunter tells the story of a young boy who sets out on a quest to follow in his father’s footsteps when he finds out his father is one of the elite humans known as Hunters. Upon his adventure, he gains strength and ability, so his fighting skills develop through the episodes.

In feudal Japan, a samurai warrior of African descent must return to his life of sword and violence to protect a mysterious girl from dark forces. Yasuke contains many graphic, bloody fight scenes, with and without Yasuke.

With help, they try to stop the extinction of humans through high-intensity battles that are filled with emotion and interesting movements.  

10. Chainsaw Man (2022) 

This is quite a unique story, where Denji, a teenage boy, lives with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita, and is repaying the debt his father left behind. One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as Chainsaw Man. As he fights with chainsaws, this series contains mutilation, dismemberment, shock deaths, and is filled with blood, guts, and gore. 

9. Demon Slayer (2020) 

Demon Slayer focuses on the Demon Slayer Corps’ constant battle against Muzan Kibutsuji and his demon army. Every season has stunning animation, spectacular fights, and emotional stories for its audiences.   

8. Kill La Kill (2013) 

Student council president Satsuki Kiryuin and the Elite Four, rule Honnouji Academy. They have the school under complete control thanks to their special outfits (Goku Uniforms) that give them superhuman abilities. When transfer student Ryuko Matoi, who is searching for her father’s killer, comes to Hannouji, she challenges the Elite Four to a battle that quickly consumes the school. When Satsuki recognizes Ryuko’s scissor-shaped sword, she wonders if their encounter is just a coincidence or if it’s fate. 

7. Bleach (2004)

Bleach is known for having some of the best fight scenes in manga and anime, this is because of its high-quality fights. The story surrounds the character Ichigo Kurosaki who is unlike any other high school student as he has the ability to see ghosts. He gains soul reaper powers from Rukia Kuchiki and sets out to save the world from “Hollows”.

This show surrounds the stories of Bebop, a bounty hunter, and his group of skilled comrades embarks on adventures across the Solar System to capture criminals.
