Senpai’s fever was the only thing heating up in Episode 5, as fans were treated to plenty of adorable moments between Senpai and Nagatoro. Just like Senpai did for her, Nagatoro (voiced by Sumire Uesaka) shows up to his aid after learning he’s come down with a cold. It’s a cute episode that leads to the unexpected confessions and accidental namedrops fans have been waiting for.
- As Nagatoro runs up to Senpai on the way to school, he remembers learning her first name the night before. He thinks about using it but quickly changes his mind.
- After grabbing his sleeve and surprising him, Nagatoro reveals she has been copying tactics she read in a magazine about flustering boys. Senpai denies feeling anything.
- In retaliation, he goes to grab her sleeve but grabs her hand instead. When Nagatoro’s friends catch them, she denies holding hands with him.
- Senpai wakes up sick and ends up staying home from school alone.
- When Nagatoro doesn’t find see Senpai at school, she sends a text asking where he is and learns he’s at home alone sick.
- After school, Nagatoro flatters Senpai by checking on him at home. She pretends she only did it because she was concerned.
- Nagatoro suggests Senpai lie down in his bed.
- When Senpai can’t remember where the thermometer is, Nagatoro takes his temperature by placing her forehead against his.
- Senpai’s face turns bright red as Nagatoro declares that he has a fever.
- Nagatoro stays to take care of Senpai as his cold gets worse.
- As he grows dizzy from his fever, Senpai begins to fantasize about a future where and Nagatoro are married. As she feeds him in his dream, Senpai does not seem to realize that Nagatoro is also feeding him in real life.
- In his daze, Senpai goes to thank Nagatoro but accidentally uses her first name.
- Nagatoro immediately freaks out but tries to get him to repeat himself, seeing that Senpai has already fallen asleep.
- After multiple failed attempts, she pleads for him to say it one more time, even offering to kiss him if it’s something he would be okay with. Before she can find out, Senpai’s mother comes home.
- Senpai wakes up the next morning feeling much better. After apologizing, his mother asks about the “cute girl” he had over the night before.
- On his way to school, he thinks back on the fantasy he had the night before. Although he remembers using Nagatoro’s first name, he cannot decipher which parts of his fantasy were dreams and which were reality.
- When he runs into Nagatoro, things feel awkward again, but he thanks her for helping him anyway.
- As Nagatoro playfully messes with Senpai, her friends catch them messing around.

Predictions
My predictions were mostly correct last week, with Nagatoro sticking around to take care of Senpai and viewers meeting his mother for the first time. The episode was not only funny, but it seems Nagatoro and Senpai’s relationship may be progressing faster than we think. It looks like their relationship will only be tested more in the preview for next week. Let’s see if my predictions for episode 6 turn out as accurate.
- In the episode 6 trailer, it appears to be the Christmas season. With Senpai and Nagatoro holding hands in the preview, this seems like a perfect episode for a confession. This could also be the ideal time for Nagatoro to ask Senpai’s name, asking for it as her Christmas gift perhaps.
- There seems to be a kiss scene in the next episode. While it’s hard to see who Senpai is behind the curtain with, it does not look like Nagatoro. From the hair, it almost looks like Nagatoro’s friend Sakura, who hinted at maybe being interested in Senpai in the past.
