Ahead of the final four instalments, we finally got some clarification regarding Ji-hoon in Trolley episode 12. Firstly, he was not the man who got Soo-bin (Jung Soo-bin) pregnant (that seems to be confirmed to be her shady ex), nor did he assault in her in any way. In fact, the only concerning thing about the troubled Ji-hoon is that Joong-do (Park Hee-soon) was the last person he saw prior to his death, and he appeared to threaten the assemblyman with something that would remove him from the political arena permanently. What this could mean is likely to be major, and may have links to whatever the politician is doing whenever he goes out without his National Assembly badge on.
Elsewhere, Ki-young (Ki Tae-young) has begun to find himself stuck in a very unenviable position. Initially, Yoo-sin found out he was set to hand over evidence of her illegal land speculation, so she confronted him, calling him a backstabber for working alongside Hye-joo (Kim Hyun-joo). So he backtracked, only to find himself threatened by Woo-jae, who was happy to expose him to Seung-hee. Then, Ki-young heard Yoo-sin admit she has been guarding the secret of Seung-ho’s sexual assault, making him even more conflicted. What he does next is massively important, and it seems like he has the agency to really make a difference.
For the rest of the ongoings, look no further:
- Joong-do held a press conference admonishing Ji-hoon, despite knowing he committed no wrongdoing.
- Hye-joo’s identity has been exposed to Yoo-sin.
- Seung-hee is prepared to retaliate when Seung-ho’s case becomes public knowledge.
- Joong-do is trying to get Hye-joo to appear on TV for her story.
- Soo-bin has found herself with a place to stay thanks to a deal being struck with Joong-do.
- Soon-hong failed to blackmail Joong-do.

I love this show but I wonder if Koreans just don’t have honest affectionate feelings for each other as this series makes them out to be kind of cold to each other.
