This week’s episode was a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows for Bell (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) and his friends. It seemed every time they took one step forward, they took two back as the dungeon continued to throw hoards of monsters at every turn. Luckily, some old friends came to the aid of Bell’s party just when things were beginning to look their bleakest. Hopefully, with the Xenos of their side, the group will finally be able to find Bell and Ryuu (Saori Hayami).
- The episode opens with Ryuu’s time in the Astrea Familia. She argues with Kaguya over the lives of the many versus the lives of the few.
- Loup Garous attack Bell and Ryuu. Ryuu tosses a blazerock while Bell launches a Firebolt attack at it, igniting it.
- As Ryuu warns Bell that he is using too much energy in battle, Bell begins to feel like he cannot keep going. With the monsters only getting stronger, he realizes something has to give and apologizes for not being stronger.
- Bell’s party continues their descent through the middle floors, with Welf’s indestructible magic sword taking out enemies.
- Elsewhere in the tunnel, the Hephaistos battles numerous monsters as well.
- Ryuu and Bell figure out where they are, making it easier to figure out how to find their way to the outer exit.
- Lili discovers a large hole she suspects Bell could’ve fallen down.
- Suddenly a bunch of Voltimeria monsters begin to appear. When the party tries to escape, even more Voltimeria appear, blocking their exit.
- When everything looks hopeless, the Xenos swoop in, taking on the monsters and saving Bell’s party.
- Ryuu mentally prepares herself for an outcome where she and Bell cannot both survive.
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Season 4 Episode 18 Release Date and Time
Season 4 Episode 18 is scheduled to release on HiDive on Thursday, February 16th, 2023. The release time is 9:00 am ET. Episode 18 is titled “Desperate: Dungeon Do-or-Die Time” and will have a run time of approximately 23 minutes.

Predictions
While my predictions were close last time, they didn’t quite come true in this week’s episode. However, with each passing week, it looks like we are getting closer to Tsubaki’s group coming to save Bell’s party and the Juggarnaut’s return. When those things will happen only remains to be seen.
- With the Xenos finally reappearing, I think they will finally be able to help Bell’s party locate Bell. I could see a few Xenos going down the hole Lili found to explore the lower floors in search of him.
- Tsuabki’s party was able to hear the voices of Bell’s Party during their last fight. With them this close, I could see them finally running into one another during the next episode.
