This article contains predictions for the Crunchyroll series Bungo Stray Dogs season 4, episode 8, and includes the release date and where to watch online.

Things only got worse for the Armed Detective Agency this week as they found themselves on the run from not only the police, but an elite military unit of Gifted called The Hunting Dogs. No matter how hard our heroes attempted to escape, it felt like someone else was always one step ahead. Despite being innocent, surrendering wasn’t an option, leaving the group to fight for their lives while Ranpo tried to figure things out. Although it made for a thrilling episode, viewers can’t help but wonder just how they’re going to get themselves out of this mess. Here’s what happened in Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4, Episode 7:

  • Ranpo finds himself in front of Taneda’s body when a security camera suddenly appears in the room, then a bloody knife in his hand.
  • Ranpo deduces that whoever is watching them has the power to manipulate reality using the ability of “The Book” as police appear outside the building.
  • Tanizaki suggests surrendering since they are innocent, but Ranpo tells them it would be useless as the book also alters the memories of everyone involved.
  • After taking their own lives to avoid capture, Yosano will activate her ability “Thou Shalt Not Die” on the Armed Detective Agency members to resuscitate them. They then ambush the police and steal their riot gear to sneak out.
  • A mysterious pod crashes in front of the police tents, and inside is Fukuchi Ochi, captain of the Hunting Dogs.
  • The remaining Hunting Dogs, Saigiku Jono, Tetcho Suehiro, and Teruko Okura, also show up to join in.
  • Trapped in the forest, the Armed Detective Agency decides to escape by car to minimize casualties.
  • The Hunting Dogs decide that they are going to split up. Tetcho and Saigiku take the roads, while Fukuchi and Teruko take the trains.
  • Kunikida steals a car, but their escape is almost thwarted when Saigiku suddenly appears in the back seat.
  • Tanizaki and Miyazawa sacrifice themselves to save the others, but just before Tetcho can kill them, Kunikida hits Tetcho with the car to save them.
  • Kyoka sneaks off to save Atsushi, whose leg has been stuck in cement underground this entire time.
  • Tetcho activates his ability and slices the Armed Detective Agency’s car clean in half, causing them to crash.
  • Although his is injured in the process, Kunikida, is finally able to see what Tetcho’s ability allows him to extend and turn his sword at will.
  • Saigiku orders Tetcho to kill Yosano first, but before Tetcho’s blade can hit her, he is shot.
  • Chuya Nakahara arrives in a helicopter, telling the group he is there to save them on his boss’s orders.

Predictions

While the Armed Detective Agency did attempt to escape several times, no attempt ever went as smoothly as planned. In the end, they still had yet to make it to safety. However, now that the Port Mafia is there to save them, things are looking up in all of the most unexpected ways possible.

  • Although the Armed Detective Agency and Port Mafia don’t necessarily see eye to eye, I could see them striking up a deal here. The Armed Detective Agency is going to need all the help they can get against Fyodor and the Decay of Angels.
